ABOUT EDC CELL

An Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in a college fosters an entrepreneurial spirit by creating awareness, providing training workshops and seminars, mentoring students with business ideas and connecting them with resources like funding, industry experts and incubation centers, ultimately aiming to turn innovative ideas into successful startups and promote for the self employment of the students.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at the college level is designed as a specialized unit to foster a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and self employment among college students. Its core purpose is to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, turning job seekers into job creators for college students.

•    To promote innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurial skills through various projective work and activities.
•    To Guide and Assist the prospective Entrepreneurs on various Aspects such as Preparing Project Reports, Funding for obtaining Project Approvals, Loans and Facilities from Agencies of support System, Information on Latest Technologies, etc.
•    To equip and empower the students with substantial skills, competencies and the spirit of entrepreneurship.
•    To instruct and encourage the students to turn out to be job creators rather than job seekers.
•    Awareness and Inspiration for the EDC Cell raises awareness about entrepreneurship and inspires students to pursue entrepreneurial paths. It organizes workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and entrepreneurship related events to showcase successful entrepreneurs and share their experiences.
 

•    To organize a planning on “Innovative Business Plans” every year through Project Work and Presentation.
•    To create and development an environment for self employment and entrepreneurship development through formal and non formal programs.
•    To develop management personnel at appropriate levels for the non corporate and unorganized sectors like education, rural development, small scale industry etc.
•    To utilize the infrastructure facilities and technically trained manpower for the development of non corporate and unorganized sectors.
•    Motivate students to develop their own startups.
•    To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship in curricula at Basic Education and Under Graduates levels.
•    Our College Motive for establishing a bridge between industries and students in generating the innovative ideas.
